- (8/6/1928 Pittsburgh-2/22/1987 New York) (USA); aka Varchola, Andrej / Warhol, AndyPainter, printmaker, sculptor, drawer, illustrator, filmmaker, writer, and art collector. Arguably the most important figure in the Pop Art movement. Studied at the Carnegie Institute of Technology. Started as a commercial artist. His art and lifestyle helped define an era.
